20 Years Later, Magnificent Seven Still Electrifies, Inspires

The “Magnificent Seven” captured the nation in 1996 when Kerri Strug and company became the first US women’s gymnastics team to win an Olympic gold medal. Through our work with the US Olympic Team’s TeamUSA.org, one of our sports editors covered the 2016 US Olympic Team Trials in San Jose, California, and caught up with the Magnificent Seven two decades after their historic achievement.
